Joy is that inner peace that surpasses all understanding. It’s that feeling of contentment no matter what you have, want or think you need.
We move so fast through life that we forget to be joyous. Most of us are happy but when we reach the place of joy it’s something greater. We put value on things that disappear in an instant. I am guilty of it as well. I always do things that make me and my family happy. So what happens when that activity, vacation, project or moment ends? We let our emotions get the best of us and begin seeking the next big thing to make ourselves happy but when we don’t find that, we feel like we failed.
Who wouldn’t want their kids to smile and be happy every single day? But, that’s not reality. Our babies will face adversity, problems, a snag in their journey but it’s ok. I plan to teach my kids that happiness is amazing but I want them to also have joy. Joy will get you through the tough times a little easier. Joy will help us realize our inner strength and give us that boost when the road is bumpy. You will kick butt like a pro when you have joy!
I want a constant state of joy. Anyone know how to find it? And pronto! I’m working on it. I wish you could just bottle joy and sell it. I can only imagine how much better our world would be.
Here are a few tips to get us all going in the right direction.
- Go ahead and forgive those that hurt you.
- Do something nice for someone else.
- Focus on at least one thing that makes you feel complete.|
Happiness is temporary. Joy is everlasting. I wish you all Joy this holiday season and beyond.
